An interactive 2-day workshop, exploring a range of creative, motivational and practical approaches to career development coaching.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the workshops, participants will be equipped to:
- Apply decision-making and motivational techniques to assist clients facing anxiety and inertia while considering career changes
- Enable clients to assess their career management strengths and areas for improvement
- Recognise how the importance of authenticity, challenge, and work-life balance evolves across different life stages
- Equip clients with tools to prepare for and successfully navigate periods of career uncertainty
This workshop is for you if you are
- An experienced or developing coach working in career coaching
- A coach wanting to move into offering career coaching with clients.
- HR, L&D or Organisational Development professionals expanding their portfolio to include career coaching with employees.
Module 1: 21st November 9:30am – 1:30pm
Career Evolution:
- Understanding how careers have evolved beyond simply matching skills to job requirements.
- The focus is now on preparing individuals to navigate uncertainty and enhance their chances of success in a dynamic job market.
Overcoming Career Inertia:
- We’ll examine why people often recognise the need for change but struggle to take action.
- You’ll learn practical strategies to boost and maintain motivation for career transitions.
Module 2: 12th December 9:30am – 1:30pm
Values-Driven Career Decisions:
We’ll discuss how the importance of challenge, authenticity, and work-life balance shifts throughout one’s life, and how these changes impact career choices.
Neuroscience of Career Decisions:
We’ll explore insights from neuroscience about decision-making processes and introduce a practical method for whole-brain decision-making in career contexts.
Resources:
- Participants who complete both modules will receive one-year access to the online career management skills assessment tool, for use with career coaching career coaching clients and employees.
- A certificate of attendance will be awarded following completion of both module
- CPD Credits will be awarded for each module, certified by Association for Coaching
